User expectations and requirements in relation to the hybrid library

Date: 18. april 2006
Category: Projects

The purpose of the project is to examine how research libraries can meet core users’ information needs in the best possible way. This can be achieved by examining the use of physical material, electronic material as well as library employees. The study seeks to uncover how patrons make use of these resources and how the service can be developed in research libraries in the future.

The study will form the basis for decisions on 1) How the web user interface of the library can be improved, 2) What kind of role the employees of the library must have in the future, and 3) The role of the physical library in the future.

The project was completed in the beginning of 2006. Read the results from the project here.
